Writing a dissertation can be tough. In order to help our doctoral researchers overcome obstacles of procrastination and discouragement, the Centre for Cultural Studies organised a workshop on the topic of productivity for the doctoral students enrolled in our doctoral programme Culture-Text-Action. The workshop, held by Dr. Gayannée Kedia, a researcher in psychology and neuroscience, consisted of three highly insightful and interactive workshop sessions delivered over a few weeks. During this period, the doctoral students worked on a project they felt needed a productivity boost. The results were impressive: Guided by Gaya’s professional advice, most participants reported a significant progress of their projects. They were further provided with a valuable set of tools, including effective coping strategies, tips on how to set realisable goals, and approaches to overcoming procrastination. Thank you, Gaya, for conducting this wonderful workshop at our Centre, and thanks to all the participants for their engagement in the sessions!
