Completing a dissertation is never easy – and can be particularly demanding in times of uncertainty and pressure. This interactive workshop with Dr Deborah de Muijnck (Justus Liebig University Giessen; formerly Research Fellow at the Centre for Cultural Studies) offers research-based strategies to help doctoral candidates remain productive and balanced throughout the writing process.
Participants will explore practical methods for managing focus, time, and motivation while maintaining well-being and resilience. Drawing on insights from psychology, education, and mental health research, the session will address how to set realistic goals, prioritise effectively, and develop sustainable working habits that support both academic progress and personal well-being.
All interested doctoral students are warmly invited to take part.
