Performing Texts, Staging Literature: Voices and Bodies in Motion
Evening Lecture of Prof. Dr. Magali Nachtergael
Prof. Dr. Magali Nachtergael (Université Bordeaux Montaigne) will talk about new currents in contemporary French and Francophone literature that reflect the intertwining of writing, speaking and dancing both in the creative process of writing
and in the staging of literature in houses of poetry, contemporary galleries, luxury art foundations, and in theatre scenes. The lecture will focus in particular on the co-productions between the choreographer Mathilde Monnier,
the writer Christine Angot, and the philosopher Jean-Luc Nancy, as well as on the danced and spoken co-productions created as part of the festival Concordanse.
