The Centre for Cultural Studies is an interdisciplinary research hub focusing on transdisciplinary narratology, theater and performance studies, theory of genres and media, and the interplay between literary cultures and artificial intelligence. If you work within these research areas or related fields and are enthusiastic about spending one or two years at a vibrant research Centre you are welcome to contact us for mentorship.
Since 2017, the University of Graz has hosted its highly successful Marie Skłodowska-Curie-Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA-PF) workshops.
The 2025 Call for the proposal writing workshop at the University of Graz is open now. It will take place May 26-27, 2025. The workshop is hosted by the Research Management and Service and is designed to support outstanding researchers interested in applying for MCSA PF 2025. If the candidates submit an MSCA-PF application with the University of Graz as host, they will receive a travel reimbursement of up to € 600,-.
Additionally, top evaluated but rejected applications will get a second chance. The University of Graz funds up to three applicants who got rejected but received a Seal of Excellence (score min. 85%) with an up to one-year PostDoc position.
Excellent applicants interested in carrying out their project at the Centre for Cultural Studies Graz are invited to contact the Head of the Centre for Cultural Studies, Prof Christine Schwanecke, who will be happy to serve as mentor and further support them in their proposal writing.
