European Doctoral Symposia in Literary and Cultural Studies
These international symposia take place twice a year, alternating between Giessen, Helsinki, Stockholm, Bergamo, Lisbon, Graz and Warwick. At these symposia, PhDnet doctoral candidates present their projects and discuss them with their supervisors and fellow doctoral candidates from the same or neighboring research areas.
International conferences
During the PhDnet cycles, international conferences are held as part of the program. The thematic focus of these conferences is based both on the research interests of the participants and on the modules of the PhDnet curriculum.
Workshops and master classes
In order to promote the integration of our members into international research outside the seven participating PhDnet partner institutions, we regularly invite guest researchers whose fields of work are relevant to the research projects of our doctoral candidates.
Junior research groups
Our junior research groups promote scientific exchange between PhD students in the PhDnet. These research groups are aligned with the content of their doctoral projects and provide a forum for international and interdisciplinary discussion.
